Designed for international professionals pursuing IBA or QBA certification, this course is aligned with the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA) for Qualified Behaviour Analyst (QBA), Course Competency and International Behavior Analysis Organization (IBAO) Required Educational Objectives (REO) for International Behavior Analysts (IBA). This course provides a comprehensive understanding of ethics, the history of ABA, and the core concepts of behavior analysis. Participants will fulfill the academic requirements for credentialing and develop practical skills for applying ABA across diverse settings.

Supervision FAQs
Who can receive supervision through SZBC.academy?
Supervision is available for:
- IBA / IBT - International Behavior Analysis Organization
- QBA / QASP-S / ABAT - Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board
- BCaBA / RBT - Behavior Analyst Certification Board
How does supervision work?
Supervision includes direct observation, feedback, and case discussion in compliance with HIPAA and QABA/IBAO/BACB board standards. Each month equals 5% supervision of total fieldwork hours.
All sessions follow QABA, IBAO, or BACB documentation and competency requirements.
What's the difference between individual and group supervision?
Both formats count toward fieldwork if structured per board guidelines.
- Individual supervision: Conducted as a one-to-one, live meeting (in person or via a HIPAA-compliant platform) emphasizing direct observation, individualized feedback, case analysis, data review, and ethical guidance. This format ensures personalized professional development consistent with QABA and IBAO competency standards and must represent at least 50% of total supervision hours.
- Group supervision: Conducted live with one supervisor and multiple supervisees to promote collaborative learning through structured discussions, ethical case reviews, problem-solving, and peer interaction. Group supervision may account for no more than 50% of total supervision hours per supervision period, with participation, documentation, and confidentiality procedures fully aligned with QABA, IBAO, and HIPAA standards.
What documentation is provided during and upon completion of supervision?
Every supervisee receives:
All records are securely stored and maintained in accordance with HIPAA, QABA, and IBAO confidentiality and data retention guidelines.

Is remote supervision accepted?
Yes. Remote supervision is accepted by IBAO, QABA, and BACB when meeting their online supervision criteria.
What is expected from the supervisee?
- Sign the supervision agreement before beginning any fieldwork hours.
- Accurately log and document each supervision hour.
- Obtain and maintain client consent when required.
- Actively participate in all sessions, submit data, demonstrate competency, and maintain professionalism.
- Keep copies of all supervision logs, feedback reports, and documentation for the full certification period.
- Follow all confidentiality, ethical, and professional standards set by QABA and IBAO.
When can candidates start supervised fieldwork hours?
Supervised fieldwork hours may begin only after coursework has officially started and a supervision agreement has been signed and approved. Any hours completed before these two conditions are met, will not count toward required fieldwork.
Does SZBC.academy provide supervision for QABA and IBAO fieldwork?
Yes. SZBC.academy offers approved supervision services that meet all QABA and IBAO documentation, competency, and supervision requirements.
Consultation FAQs
What consultation services are offered?
- Parents: Behavior coaching, skill development, communication programs

- Organizations/ Workplaces: Guidance and mentorship programs for adults with autism or other special needs placed in internship or employment settings.
Are consultations online or in-person?
Both. UAE-based schools and centers can request in-person visits. Others receive full online consultation packages.
Do consultations count toward supervision?
No. Consultations are professional services separate from trainee supervision.
Can consultation plans be customized?
Yes. All plans are individualized for the learner, family, or organization.

What is the coursework format?

Can RBTs, IBTs, ABATs, or QASP-S upgrade to analyst-level coursework?
Yes, if they meet the eligibility criteria approved by their credentialing board (QABA, IBAO, or BACB) to elevate to the next level. Prior coursework may be reviewed for credit transfer, and an academic evaluation will determine which additional modules and fieldwork requirements must be completed under board-approved supervision.
